Disclaimer
This Disclaimer explains important limitations of Awdah, the Islamic habit and spiritual growth app available on iOS (App Store ID 6759299441) and Android (package com.oxilios.tadhkira), and the public website at https://awdah.online/. Please read it together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
By using Awdah, you acknowledge that the Service is a companion tool — not a guarantee of religious correctness, medical safety, uninterrupted alarms, or perfect community moderation. If you do not accept these limitations, do not rely on the Service for outcomes that require professional or scholarly judgment.
1. Spiritual and religious guidance — not fatwa
Awdah is designed to support personal habits such as Tahajjud, daily remembrance, guided journeys, family encouragement, and Quran reading. It is not a substitute for qualified scholars, local imams, madrasah instruction, or your own careful study of the Quran and authentic Sunnah.
Content inside Awdah — including journey prompts, reflection text, daily duas, theme descriptions, onboarding copy, and curated habit suggestions — is offered for encouragement, structure, and remembrance. It is not personalized religious advice, legal rulings (fatwa), or authoritative jurisprudence for your specific circumstances.
Questions about worship validity, prayer times in exceptional situations, fasting, marriage, inheritance, financial transactions, or any matter requiring qualified ijtihad should be directed to trusted scholars in your community rather than inferred from app text or community posts.
Awdah does not claim that using the app will earn any particular spiritual reward, forgiveness, or outcome. Sincerity, knowledge, and adherence to sound teaching remain your responsibility.
2. Quran editions and display
The 13 Line Quran feature loads ebook pages over HTTPS inside an in-app WebView from the allowlisted host ebooks.qamarapps.com only. Non-allowlisted URLs are blocked by design.
You should understand that:
- Edition differences — Digital 13-line layouts, fonts, diacritics, page breaks, and translation placement may differ from printed mushafs, local masjid copies, or hifz editions you learned from. Minor typographical or rendering differences can occur on different screen sizes and OS versions.
- Verification — For memorization, leading prayer, or any situation where precise wording matters, verify against a trusted printed mushaf or qualified teacher. Do not rely solely on on-screen rendering when stakes are high.
- Hosting — Quran ebook files are served by the third-party host. Temporary downtime, CDN issues, or host maintenance may prevent pages from loading even when the rest of the app works.
- No certification claim — Awdah facilitates access to reading material; we do not represent that we have independently certified every glyph, verse numbering scheme, or supplementary note that may appear in the hosted ebook.
- Translations — Any translation shown alongside Arabic text reflects the edition supplied by the host. Translations are interpretive; consult multiple trusted sources for deeper study.
If you believe you have found a display error, contact mytadhkira@gmail.com with the screen, device model, and OS version so we can investigate with the host where appropriate.
3. Alarm and reminder reliability
Tahajjud and habit alarms are a central feature of Awdah, but no alarm system on a smartphone can be guaranteed to wake you in every situation. Reliability depends heavily on your device, operating system, manufacturer battery policies, and the permissions you grant.
How Awdah attempts to ring (Android)
On supported Android versions, Awdah may use:
- Exact alarms — scheduling the alarm for the precise local time you choose;
- Full-screen intent — showing a full-screen ringing UI when the phone is locked;
- Foreground service with media playback — keeping alarm audio active during the ringing session so sound continues while the device is locked or the screen is off.
How Awdah attempts to ring (iOS)
On iOS, reminders rely on notification permissions, scheduled local notifications, and system behavior governed by Apple. Focus modes, Do Not Disturb, Silent mode, scheduled Sleep focus, and Low Power Mode may affect whether you hear or see an alarm.
Common reasons alarms fail or delay
- Notification, alarm, or exact-alarm permissions denied or revoked after an OS update;
- Aggressive battery optimization, app hibernation, or “sleeping apps” features on some Android manufacturers;
- Device powered off, battery depleted, or clock/time-zone changed while traveling;
- User force-stopping the app or clearing app data, which removes scheduled alarms;
- Do Not Disturb, Focus, or Bedtime modes silencing alerts;
- Bluetooth/audio routing sending alarm sound to the wrong output;
- Using an outdated app version blocked by minimum-version checks until you update from the official store.
You are responsible for granting permissions, disabling harmful battery restrictions where needed, testing alarms after install and after major OS updates, and maintaining a backup waking method (such as a dedicated alarm clock) when missing Tahajjud would have serious consequences.
Awdah is not liable for missed prayer, missed work, or any loss arising from a failed or delayed alarm. See also the alarms section in our Terms of Use and troubleshooting on our Support page.
4. Health, sleep, and night waking
Awdah is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Features that track nights, streaks, reflections, or weekly “heart” progress are motivational tools — not clinical sleep monitors or health records.
Waking for Tahajjud or other night worship involves changing your sleep schedule. That may not be appropriate for everyone. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before regularly restricting sleep if you:
- are pregnant, recovering from illness, or managing a chronic condition;
- operate heavy machinery or drive early in the morning;
- experience excessive daytime sleepiness, mood changes, or cardiovascular symptoms;
- take medications affected by sleep timing;
- are a minor whose sleep needs should be supervised by a parent or guardian.
Awdah does not monitor your vitals, sleep stages, or fatigue level. Any decision to wake at night remains yours. If an alarm or notification pattern causes distress or unhealthy sleep deprivation, adjust your schedule, disable alarms, or seek professional guidance.
5. Community and user-generated content
Family Hub, Dua Circle, and Tahajjud challenges include content submitted by users. User-generated content (UGC) reflects the views of individual users, not Awdah.
We do not guarantee that:
- every dua, comment, challenge title, or profile detail is theologically accurate or appropriate;
- all UGC is reviewed before publication;
- offensive, misleading, or harmful posts will be removed instantly;
- participants in a family circle or challenge are who they claim to be.
You use community features at your own discretion. Do not share sensitive personal information publicly. Parents and guardians should supervise minors’ participation in social features. Report abuse through in-app options when available or email mytadhkira@gmail.com.
Awdah may remove content or restrict accounts that violate our Terms of Use, but we are not obligated to monitor all communications.
6. Third-party services and hosts
Awdah relies on third parties to distribute and operate the product, including:
- Apple App Store — iOS distribution, updates, and platform policies;
- Google Play — Android distribution, updates, and platform policies;
- ebooks.qamarapps.com — HTTPS hosting of 13 Line Quran ebook pages loaded in the allowlisted WebView;
- Authentication, cloud hosting, and push notification providers that help run accounts and reminders.
Each third party operates under its own terms, privacy practices, uptime, and security standards. Awdah is not responsible for outages, policy changes, data handling, or content errors originating solely on third-party systems outside our reasonable control.
When a minimum app version is required, Awdah directs you only to the official App Store or Google Play listing — never to unofficial download sites.
7. No warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AWDAH AND THE WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, error-free software, complete data backup, perfect alarm timing, or that the Service will meet every personal spiritual goal. Features may change, be limited by region, or be withdrawn as the product evolves.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties; in those jurisdictions, this section applies to the maximum extent permitted.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AWDAH AND ITS PERSONNEL WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL, PROFITS, OR SPIRITUAL OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE.
Without limiting the above, we are not liable for damages arising from:
- missed or delayed Tahajjud alarms and reminders;
- reliance on journey text, duas, or community posts as religious rulings;
- Quran display differences, host outages, or allowlist blocks triggered by unauthorized URL attempts;
- health or sleep consequences of changing your night schedule;
- conduct or content of other users;
- third-party store, auth, push, or hosting failures.
Where liability cannot be fully excluded, our total aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of amounts you paid for the Service in the prior twelve months or one United States dollar (US$1), except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
For legally binding limits and indemnity terms, see our Terms of Use.

What Awdah is not: As of the date above, Awdah is not a digital wallet, payment processor, cryptocurrency product, live streaming platform, or general-purpose web browser. We do not describe features that are not shipped. If new capabilities are added in future versions, store metadata and these legal pages will be updated accordingly.
Screenshots and marketing frames on the website represent real app screens intended to show actual UI. Minor visual differences may appear across OS versions, themes, and device sizes.
