These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and the publisher of Awdah (“Awdah”, “we”, “us”, “our”) governing your access to and use of the Awdah mobile application for iOS and Android and the public website at https://awdah.online/ (together, the “Service”). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.

By downloading, installing, creating an account, accessing, or continuing to use Awdah, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms apply to all users of Awdah, whether you access the Service through the Apple App Store (App ID 6759299441), Google Play (package com.oxilios.tadhkira), or the website. Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we process information, and our Disclaimer, which explains important limitations of the product.

If you use Awdah on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms. In that case, “you” refers to both you individually and the organization.

We may offer additional in-app notices, onboarding text, or feature-specific guidance. If those notices conflict with these Terms on a specific feature, the feature-specific notice applies only to that feature unless we state otherwise.

2. Eligibility

You must be old enough to enter a binding contract in your country or region to use Awdah. If you are under the age required in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.

We may refuse, suspend, or terminate access where we reasonably believe eligibility requirements are not met or where continued access would create legal or safety risk.

3. Accounts and security

Creating and maintaining an account

Certain features — including Family Hub, Dua Circle, challenges, journey progress sync, and profile settings — may require an account. You agree to provide accurate registration details and to update them when they change.

Authentication

Awdah may support sign-in methods such as email and third-party identity providers where enabled. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Account deletion

You may delete your account from Profile → Delete account inside the app (wording may vary slightly by version). Deletion is intended to remove your access to account-linked data as described in our Privacy Policy. Some records may be retained for a limited period for security, backup, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

Unauthorized access

Notify us promptly at mytadhkira@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised. We are not responsible for losses caused by unauthorized use of your account where you failed to safeguard credentials or device access.

4. License to use the Service

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the Awdah app on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial spiritual and habit-building use.

Except as expressly permitted, you may not:

You agree to use Awdah respectfully and lawfully. Without limiting other rules in these Terms, you must not:

6. Community rules (Family Hub, Dua Circle, Challenges)

Awdah includes optional social and community tools designed to encourage sincere night prayer and shared remembrance. These features are governed by the rules below in addition to the general acceptable-use section.

Family Hub

Family Hub is intended for private encouragement among people you trust — for example family members or close friends you invite. You are responsible for who you invite and for the tone of messages, gratitude notes, and encouragement you share. Do not use Family Hub to pressure, shame, or publicly expose private spiritual struggles without consent.

Dua Circle

Dua Circle allows users to share supplications and respond with “Ameen.” When posting:

Challenges

Tahajjud challenges let users explore, join, or create shared goals. Challenge creators and participants must not use challenges for gambling, commercial promotion unrelated to the app’s purpose, or coordinated harassment. Invite codes and public explore listings should be used in good faith.

Moderation

We do not guarantee pre-publication review of all user content. We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe harm the community. Repeated or severe violations may result in permanent termination.

7. Quran reader feature

The 13 Line Quran feature displays ebook content inside an in-app WebView. For this feature, Awdah loads pages over HTTPS from the allowlisted host ebooks.qamarapps.com only. URLs that do not match the allowlist are blocked by design.

You acknowledge that:

8. Tahajjud alarms and reliability

A core purpose of Awdah is helping you schedule and respond to Tahajjud and related habit reminders. Alarm behavior is implemented using platform-supported scheduling and notification capabilities, including on Android:

On iOS, alarms and reminders rely on notification permissions, Focus/Do Not Disturb settings, and system scheduling policies applicable to your device and OS version.

Important: Alarm and reminder reliability is not guaranteed. Performance depends on your device manufacturer, battery optimization settings, permission grants, silent modes, travel across time zones, OS updates, and whether the app remains installed and permitted to schedule alarms. You are responsible for granting and maintaining the permissions needed for alarms you schedule, testing alarms after setup, and maintaining a backup waking method when missing Tahajjud would have serious consequences.

Awdah is not liable for missed prayer times, missed alarms, or spiritual outcomes arising from device or OS limitations. See also our Disclaimer.

9. Notifications

With your permission, Awdah may deliver push notifications for reminders, community activity, challenge updates, and product messages we believe are relevant to your use of the Service. You can disable push notifications in your device system settings at any time.

Local Tahajjud alarms you explicitly schedule may still attempt to ring according to device permissions even when optional push notifications are off. Disabling critical permissions may prevent alarms from functioning as intended.

We do not guarantee delivery timing or receipt of any notification. Carriers, push networks, and OS policies may delay or block delivery.

10. App updates and minimum versions

We may release updates to improve features, security, compatibility, or compliance. You agree that Awdah may check whether your installed version meets a minimum required version configured on our servers.

If your version is below the minimum, the app may block continued use until you update. When an update is required, Awdah opens only the official Apple App Store listing (App ID 6759299441) or the official Google Play listing (package com.oxilios.tadhkira). The app does not direct you to unofficial APK sites, third-party marketplaces, or arbitrary websites for updates.

You are responsible for installing updates from the store where you originally obtained the app. Continued use of an unsupported version may be disabled for security or functionality reasons.

11. Intellectual property

The Service — including the Awdah name, logo, visual design, typography, original text, software, audio cues, and compilation of features — is owned by the publisher or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Third-party content displayed in the Service, including Quran ebook pages from ebooks.qamarapps.com, remains the property of its respective owners and is subject to their terms. Trademarks of Apple, Google, and other third parties belong to their owners.

You may not use Awdah branding without prior written permission except as necessary to refer to the app in a factual, non-misleading way.

12. User content and license you grant

“User content” means information, text, reflections, duas, challenge titles, profile details, photos you upload, and other material you submit through the Service.

You retain ownership of your user content. By submitting user content, you grant Awdah a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content solely as needed to operate, improve, and secure the Service — including showing your posts to users you designate (for example family members or challenge participants) and enforcing these Terms.

You represent that:

We may remove user content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe creates risk for users or the Service.

13. Third-party services and content

Awdah integrates with or links to third-party services to operate the product, including without limitation:

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control, including store outages, host downtime, or policy changes imposed by Apple, Google, or network operators.

Links from the website or app to third-party sites are provided for convenience. We do not endorse all third-party content and are not responsible for external sites you choose to visit outside the allowlisted Quran host.

14. Disclaimers

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY.

Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that:

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of implied warranties; in those jurisdictions, disclaimers apply to the maximum extent permitted.

15. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AWDAH AND ITS OWNERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR SPIRITUAL OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

Without limiting the above, we are not liable for damages arising from:

16. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Awdah and its personnel from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

We may assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with our defense. You may not settle any claim in a manner that imposes obligations on us without our prior written consent.

17. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account as described above. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk for other users, or where required by law or platform policy.

Upon termination:

Termination does not limit our rights to remedies available at law or equity.

18. Apple App Store and Google Play terms

If you downloaded Awdah from the Apple App Store or Google Play, your use is also subject to the applicable store’s terms and policies. For Apple users, you acknowledge that Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for the app except as required by applicable store rules.

To the extent permitted by store rules:

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are intended to be interpreted under generally applicable contract principles. Unless mandatory local law requires otherwise, you agree that disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the publisher of Awdah is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us at mytadhkira@gmail.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally within a reasonable period. If informal resolution fails, disputes may be brought in the courts or forums designated by applicable law in the publisher’s jurisdiction, unless consumer protection laws in your country grant you non-waivable rights to bring claims in your home jurisdiction.

Nothing in this section limits either party’s ability to seek injunctive or equitable relief for misuse of intellectual property or unauthorized access.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves — for example when we add features, change community rules, or respond to legal or platform requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and may provide additional notice in the app or on the website where appropriate.

Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
